Hydronic Control Valve-Specifications, Sizing & Technologies , speaker David Thomas (Belimo)

The session will be reviewing the common rules of thumb for hydronic valve sizing. Topics include a review of common valve types, specifications, and applications. Control valve sizing for HVAC applications with emphasis on pipe geometry factors and fluid velocity. Participants should be able to review valve submittals with an eye towards proper application and sizing.
Dave has over 30 years of experience in the Building Automation / HVAC Industry. He started his career at Honeywell at a time when BAS companies provided formal training in Control Systems Engineering. Over his career, his experience spans most generations of control technology including Pneumatic Controls, Electronic Controls, Direct Digital Controls an IT technology. Dave’s career encompassed many positions in the industry including Sales, Engineering and Management.
At Belimo, Dave supports the Belimo Sales Team in the Southern Region with industry technology, specifically focusing on the Consulting Engineering community, ASHRAE and Belimo Customers.
