Joint meeting of the Engineers Club, ASCE, & IEEE on Drone Application to Detect Cracks in Structures, held at the UTC SIMcenter (renamed as the MultiDisciplinary Research Building)

Speaker: Muradal Qurishee, Graduate Associate at Tennessee Department of Transportation & Drone Pilot

Muradal Qurishee, with a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering and recent FAA certification on UAV, will share his research on the use of drone application to detect cracks in civil infrastructure.  His study and application involve deep convolution neural networks, raspberry pi, and infrared thermography.  He will also talk about other diverse drone applications being investigated.
