Joint meeting of Chattanooga Engineers Club and green|spaces.

Speaker:  Jessie Anna Boone, Director of Pavement Application at Southeast Cement Promotions Association.  Ms. Boone has a BS in Concrete Industry Management from MTSU and previously worked for Lafarge which is one of the largest concrete providers in the world.  With knowledge about the construction industry she is able to understand the customer's needs and support their business goals through training and education.

Presentation:

Ms. Boone will describe the benefits of Full Depth Reclamation using Cement, Soil Cement, Cement Treated Base and Roller Compacted Concrete. All of these applications are widely underused.  Full-depth reclamation (FDR) rebuilds worn out asphalt pavements by recycling the existing roadway. The old asphalt and base materials are pulverized, mixed with cement and water, and compacted to produce a strong, durable base for either an asphalt or concrete surface.  She will explain why conserving construction materials through recycling with cement makes smart economic and strategic sense.
